Making use of QR codes

channel computing QR codeYou may have seen these odd square images around the place, here is a little demo of the sort of thing you can do with them.

If you have a smart phone you can download a free "QR code scanner" application, and then scan this image.

QR codes can be printed on web sites or any other advertising or promotional material, and redirect your visitors to a special offer, information, or any other page of your choosing.

QR codes can be used on:

Web sites, clothing, banners & badges, advertising, printed leaflets, product packaging, and anything else you can print or display on.

They can link to:

  • your web site
  • your Social Media profile
  • a map to your shop or offices
  • a special offer or promotion page
  • an email address
  • an opt-in page for a newsletter or mailing list
  • anything else you can link to on the Internet

So are they just a fad or here to stay in the long term?
Well we don't know yet, but they certainly can be useful, and give lots of scope for new offers and ways of attracting custom, so lets enjoy making some innovative new offers using the QR code.

Ask us if you'd like help making best use of these - and enjoy!
