The Joomla Cornwall Group starts here?
At Channel Computing we are finding more and more that the use of Joomla content management system allows us and other developers to offer exceptional value and functionality for the web sites of clients in Cornwall, Devon and South Western England.
We are extremely interested in combining with other Joomla specialists locally and enhancing collaboration and information sharing in the spirit of the Open Source community.
I have set up a Joomla Cornwall Group on OpenSourceMatters.org, and would be delighted for other Joomla users and developers in South Western England to join the group and begin to plan Joomla meetings, and a regional Joomla day as soon as the numbers warrant it.
At present this page is the "official" page of the Joomla Cornwall Group, but it is not likely that the group would "belong" to us at Channel Computing (based in Penryn - near Falmouth by the way) and I would envisage that a dedicated Joomla Cornwall Group would be formed much like the Joomla London version that already exists: http://www.joomlalondon.co.uk.
It also makes sense that should those over the border in Devon be interested in collaboration perhaps we would become the Joomla South West group - I remain open to suggestions.
Meanwhile lets keep delivering the best value for money for companies and organisations all over the South West - some great new Joomla sites have recently come on line in the area thanks to the Joomla talent down here - looking forward to getting heads together and raising the game for all of us concerned.
